Harmony turned 2 on Saturday! We think she has seemed older since then, as her sentence structure (vocab use) has grown a bit and she even looks bigger and carries herself in a more mature manner. 2 days before her birthday we started singing to her, explaining that she'd be 2 soon, and asking "how old are you?" to which she'd reply "Harmony 2." She's also been yelling "HAP-BIRDAYYY!!!" a lot lately.
She's a little girl now, slimming out, losing baby fat, asserting her independence and autonomy. We had a really fun time celebrating, with my mom visiting and our neighbors. We went to the beach boardwalk for rides and then had cake that I made (my first time making a tiered cake and homemade cream cheese frosting, which I was very proud of.) Then Sunday we went to coastal Wilder Ranch to walk the trails and see animals. So far, the terrible two's aren't so terrible, just different. My only baby is growing up, just 16 years until she's an adult. :)
